In case you want to add it to your newsfeed list in your Mambo site.
It would be good to create a wiki page with useful feeds - feeds and links that you find interesting and useful in your work. The Wiki is at http://uwiclass.wikispaces.com/

I don not know how to get a mambo site. What are the steps I need to go through to get a mambo site up and running without any software on a server provided by UWI, but done in the comfort of my home or at school.
When the Postgraduate Diploma in Educatinal Technology class 2005-2006 is OVER and the TEMPORARY server is no longer available to us to develop whatever it is we have to do using mambo, how can I, from scratch, go online on my own, download the mambo software and do exactly what we did in class, that is setup a main web page where others can log in and be allowed various mambo access/privileges, and create banners, newsflashes, newsfeeds, a usable webpage, a poll. Or not download the software and do the same using the mambo software online.
Hoping for a clear response.
What is a WIKI?
Yet again, Mr. Paddington is working on setting up a server for the class.
When the class is over, if you want to host a website, you will have to pay for a hosting service. This is true for ANY tool. A website is hosted on a server connected to the Internet. There are many hosting companies available, and you can find them by a google search.
If you want to do a site that is not hosted on the class server, then you can do a search on google for mambo hosting, and sign up with one of those providers.
I do believe that my questions were NOT answered in any form or fashion whatsoever.
Oh well, sooooo much for blogging, so much for website building,
so much for the wealth of knowledge that has not flowed.
So much for wanting to really really learn, but being taken for a spin around the block.
oh wellllllll
ohhhh wellllllll
To respond to the questions again and hope this is clearer:

Answer:
You do not need to download Mambo to your home - you need a hosting server where Mambo is loaded. After the class, you will have to purchase your own hosting account if UWI is not willing to keep the class files on the hosting service that they are setting up.

Hope this is more specific.
