We set up this blog a while ago when we were teaching a multimedia in education course at UWI.
This is the blog that I put together for the students to ask questions and learn new stuff.
Now I am teaching EdTech at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, so have reactivated the blog!

Class Blog List
You should also post links to your own blogs - if you email me I'll put them in the sidebar. Jacqueline
I believe that we should have a Ed Tech class blog site for us to voice our concerns with the programme. I've created one that does not directly deal with one specific assignment, but issues we have with the entire course, which will range from copies of contracts to feedback on assignments. http://edtechclassforum.blogspot.com/
I recently browsed a copy of a book entitled "Dumbing Down Our Kids - Why American Children Feel Good About Themselves But Can't Read, Write or Add" by Charles Sykes. We could easily replace 'American' by 'Trinidadian' and everything would still be relevant.
For example, 3 comments stand out: (1) Why "self-esteem" has supplanted grades and genuine achievements (cf. Auntie Hazel) (2) How the educational establishment lowers standards and quality in our schools (cf. all dem Task Forces on education) (3) The dumbing down of the curriculum so everyone can pass - but no one can excel (cf. CXC)
It's a great read and I recommend it highly to you all.
Sounds interesting. I would like to read that. Maybe I'll have time when this course is over !!! Meanwhile I would your opinion on the blog I recently posted at etviews.blogspot.com Ryan
